WeChat teams up with phone makers for A2A assistant, Xiaomi's Super XiaoAi goes first
WeChat is working with phone makers like Huawei, Honor, Xiaomi, OPPO, and vivo to launch an A2A (Agent-to-Agent) assistant feature. This lets phone AI helpers send commands to WeChat, which then executes them, with double authorization for privacy and security. The feature is rolling out gradually.
Xiaomi's Super XiaoAi is the first to support this, letting users send messages or make calls via voice commands. Just update WeChat and Super XiaoAi, then say 'call xxx on WeChat' or 'send a message to xxx on WeChat.' A new 'WeChat voice control switch' option appears in Super XiaoAi's privacy settings.
Honor and OPPO have also announced support. The goal is to make WeChat features more natural in daily use, improving convenience.
