World's first AI-native credit card 'Kimi Card' to launch with AmEx and Agricultural Bank of China
The world's first AI-native credit card, the 'Kimi Card,' is set to launch with partners American Express and Agricultural Bank of China. The project started in April and moved quickly through internal approvals, with all three parties saying they clicked instantly.
Cardholders can use everyday spending points to get Kimi membership at a 20% discount. The points exchange rate is 1,000 to 1, and up to 50% of the cost can be covered by points. In the future, the three partners will explore more possibilities like AI agent payments, linking token allowances to credit limits, and swapping points for computing power.
American Express cardholders are mostly white-collar workers, cross-border professionals, and business elites—exactly the target group for Kimi's productivity AI services. With AmEx, Kimi may lower its cost to reach overseas users and speed up global expansion.
The card has been open for reservations since June 12. Kimi says AI should be as common as water, electricity, or the internet, and it will work with banks and card networks to create a new financial model where tokens and credit card points can flow freely.
