World's first commercial multi-modal tourism AI model 'Boguan' goes live in Xi'an

Huawei China announced that the world's first commercial multi-modal tourism AI model, 'Boguan Cultural Tourism AI Model', is now fully deployed in Xi'an. Developed by Shaanxi Cultural Investment and Huawei in September 2025, it's China's first industry-specific AI model focused on cultural preservation, running on Huawei's Ascend computing platform.

As of March, the AI travel companion built on Boguan has served over 4 million users. Its digital IP products for intangible cultural heritage have sold more than 2 million yuan. The model's dataset exceeds 1.2PB, including 31 million tourism images and 4.4 million minutes of cultural videos, capable of generating museum-grade content for heritage revival.

At the popular 'Tang Dynasty Never Night City' scenic spot, China Telecom Shaanxi and Huawei deployed a 5G-A network using three-carrier aggregation, achieving peak speeds of 600Mbps upload and 3.5Gbps download. During this year's May Day holiday, the network supported about 23,000 simultaneous users, greatly enhancing visitor experience.
