Xiaomi MiMo Code ends free access, moves to paid subscription

Xiaomi MiMo announced that starting July 26 at 6:00 PM, its AI coding assistant MiMo Code will no longer be free. Users need to subscribe to Token Plan through the Xiaomi MiMo API open platform to continue using it, with a 12% discount for the first subscription.

MiMo Code is an experimental AI coding assistant that runs in the terminal, launched and open-sourced in June. It comes with MiMo-V2.5, a free multimodal model for a limited time, and also supports other models like DeepSeek, Kimi, and GLM, as well as third-party token plans to suit different developers.
