Xiaomi Open-Sources Robotics Base Model Xiaomi-Robotics-1
Xiaomi's tech team announced the open-source release of its robotics base model, Xiaomi-Robotics-1. The model was pre-trained on over 100,000 hours of UMI data and fine-tuned with more than 10,000 hours of cross-embodiment data. It covers the full pipeline from real-world post-training to model deployment, and includes benchmark evaluation code.
The model uses a two-stage training approach: pre-training and post-training. During pre-training, it learns to generate general actions based on visual and language inputs. In July, Xiaomi first introduced the model, highlighting its pre-training on 100,000 hours of real-world manipulation data for plug-and-play use.
This open-source release aims to boost robotics research and applications. Developers can access resources via the project website, GitHub, and Hugging Face.
