Xiaomi robot shows off new phone at launch event

Xiaomi held a short launch event today for its new 17T series phones. A Xiaomi robot appeared on stage, holding the 17T Pro and using the volume button to zoom in and out, showing off the phone's telephoto camera.

The robot uses an upgraded bionic hand that is 60% smaller, has 64% more flexibility, and features 8,200 square millimeters of touch sensors on the palm. It can grip and hold items for over 150,000 cycles. Earlier this year, the same robot was already working in a car factory, doing 3-hour shifts with a 90.2% success rate.

This demo shows Xiaomi's robot can now handle delicate tasks like operating a smartphone.
