Xpeng's Turing Chip Ships Over 200k Units, Targets 1M This Year; IRON Robot to Mass Produce by End 2026
Xpeng Motors CEO He Xiaopeng revealed in an earnings call that the self-developed Turing chip has shipped over 200,000 units since its mass production in Q3 2025. The company plans to switch all models to this chip starting Q2 this year, with a full-year shipment target of nearly 1 million units.
Regarding humanoid robots, He Xiaopeng said the new IRON robot will enter mass production by the end of 2026, equipped with three Turing AI chips and boasting industry-leading edge computing power. Currently, Xpeng's VLA2.0 tech stack has been successfully applied to the robot, combined with the 4th-gen motion control system. Focusing on commercial, industrial, and home scenarios, it will first be used in stores and parks for services. In Q1 this year, Xpeng started building a humanoid robot production base in Guangzhou, aiming for monthly capacity of over 1,000 units by year-end.
The Turing chip can also be used in AI robots and flying cars. It claims to have three times the performance of NVIDIA Orin X, supporting autonomous driving and smart cockpit large models with 100% computing power utilization.
