Zhipu GLM-5.1 Model Released: Coding Plan Users Can Access It (With Claude Code & OpenClaw Setup Steps)

Zhipu has officially released the GLM-5.1 model, accessible to all Coding Plan users (Max, Pro, and Lite). Users can enable GLM-5.1 in Claude Code and OpenClaw by modifying configurations.

For Claude Code users: Edit the settings.json file to replace default models with GLM-5.1, then run the /status command in the terminal to confirm the switch. For OpenClaw users: Update the openclaw.json file to add GLM-5.1 model info and adjust default model settings, then restart the gateway to start using it.
