Zhipu launches ZCode 3.0 AI coding tool with GLM-5.2 support

Zhipu launched ZCode 3.0, an AI coding tool that works with its latest open-source model GLM-5.2. The new version uses its own self-developed ZCode Agent core, which is optimized for long reasoning, tool use, and big engineering tasks. It performs much better than third-party agents, and future versions won't include or support other agents.

Zhipu also made GLM-5.2 available to GLM Coding Plan users, calling it their most powerful open-source model yet. It supports 1M context and stays ahead in long tasks. ZCode 3.0 adds features like grouped task workspace, smart project knowledge base, visual Git branch map, and customizable chat experience to boost developer efficiency.
