Zhipu's MaaS Platform to Launch No Data Retention Feature
Zhipu's MaaS platform announced it will soon launch a no data retention feature, offering stricter privacy protection for enterprise and developer users. Once activated, the platform will not statically store user inputs and outputs. Data will only be used for the current model call. Users can apply through the MaaS console.
The feature does not cover all scenarios. Batch API and File API, which require persistent task or file storage, are not included. When laws require retention or when investigating abuse, the platform may keep data for 30 days or more.
Previously, Zhipu's coding product ZCode was questioned for uploading user code via its code repository indexing feature. ZCode apologized on September 18 and said it had fixed the issue, and will open-source its codebase and bring in third-party review.
