Zhipu's ZCode Goes Open Source and Deletes Uploaded Cloud Data
Zhipu's coding product ZCode has officially gone open source after a controversy over code uploads. The company says it has removed the repository snapshot upload path and deleted the cloud data involved. The open-source version is now at 3.14.3.
Earlier, community users raised concerns that ZCode's code index feature might upload repository data when generating Repo Wiki pages. Zhipu said the feature was on by default at launch, affecting some users, and the issue has been fixed.
Zhipu promises that nothing will be uploaded to the cloud unless users initiate it. The company is giving users four weekly reset cards and four 5-hour reset cards. From September 28 to October 7, it is also offering 100,000 one-hundred-million Token credits to all users.
