ZhiYuan's 15,000th General-Purpose Robot G2 Rolls Off Line
Chinese robotics firm ZhiYuan announced the 15,000th unit of its general-purpose robot, G2, has rolled off the production line. This milestone shows progress in China's humanoid robot industry moving toward large-scale real-world use.
Yao Miaoqing, a ZhiYuan executive, said mass production is not the goal but a step to deploy robots in various industries, gathering data from real interactions to make them smarter and more reliable. The G2 runs on NVIDIA Jetson Thor, has high-precision arms and a 19-joint hand, and can handle multi-person voice chats and Q&A.
The robot features hot-swappable batteries, 360-degree cameras, and dual laser radars for obstacle avoidance. It can work in factories, patrols, security, tours, homes, and research labs.
