AI Large Model Price War Ends: Seven Cloud Vendors Raise Prices This Year, Max Increase Exceeds 400%
The AI large model price war has officially ended. Since the start of the year, seven cloud vendors have raised prices one after another. Amazon AWS broke its 20-year no-price-hike tradition, increasing EC2 ML service prices by 15%; Tencent Cloud's Hunyuan series models saw some increases exceeding 400%; Alibaba Cloud and Baidu Smart Cloud also raised AI computing product prices, with the highest increase reaching 400%.
The direct cause of the price hike wave is the surge in Token consumption triggered by OpenClaw, with a single OpenClaw consuming tens of millions of Tokens per month. The deeper background is the rising cost of the global AI computing supply chain, including tight core hardware supply and increased data center operation costs, pushing cloud vendors to adjust their pricing strategies.
