Alibaba Launches AI Music Model HappyShrimp 1.0 to Lower Creation Barriers

Alibaba announced the launch of its AI music model HappyShrimp 1.0 on August 17. This model aims to turn your emotions, stories, or memories into complete music through natural language understanding. It was designed to lower the barrier for music creation, so you don't need to know music theory to use it.

HappyShrimp addresses common issues in AI music like robotic vocals and mismatched lyrics by generating entire songs end-to-end. It treats music as a language with grammar and meaning, planning the whole piece coherently. It can also grasp cultural context and emotional intent, not just technical labels.

The model is now available on PC web platforms both in China and internationally for users to try.
