Alibaba's Qwen Model in Deep Testing for Tesla China Cars

Sources say Alibaba's Qwen model is in deep testing for Tesla's China car system, getting close to launch. It's been tested in real car environments, planning features like voice interaction, car control, navigation, and life services, possibly going beyond a simple voice assistant.

Earlier, top Chinese carmakers at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show announced integrating Qwen. The tech includes understanding complex language, planning tasks, connecting ordering to payment, and cloud-device coordination across scenarios. Tesla China recently updated its car software, adding a Doubao AI voice assistant.

As of now, Alibaba Cloud and Tesla China haven't responded.
