Alibaba's T-Head Releases Zhenwu V900 AI Chip, Tripling Computing Power of M890

The 2026 Yunqi Conference is held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. Alibaba's T-Head released the most powerful domestic AI chip, Zhenwu V900, tripling the computing power of Zhenwu M890. A single cluster built on it can scale to 500,000 cards, supporting training and inference for frontier models.

T-Head has a full layout of data center chips, including Zhenwu GPUs, Yitian CPUs, Panmai smart NICs, and ICN interconnect chips. The core chips needed for building ultra-large AI clusters are fully covered. Alibaba expects annual shipments to rise significantly.

Alibaba is jointly tuning chips, servers, super nodes, networks, models, and inference systems to boost Token capacity and efficiency. Its self-developed M890 AI super node already supports efficient inference for models with over 2 trillion parameters and is scaled on Alibaba Cloud. In Q4, Alibaba Cloud will add more service nodes to expand super node supply.
