Alibaba's T-Head Unveils Zhenwu V900 AI Chip with 3x the Power of M890
The 2026 Yunqi Conference is being held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center in China. Alibaba's T-Head unit unveiled the Zhenwu V900, a new AI chip for both training and inference. It delivers 3 times the computing power of the Zhenwu M890, with 216GB memory, 1200GB/s inter-chip interconnect, and FP8/FP4 precision. Alibaba announced that new Panjiu supernode servers carrying the Zhenwu V900, ICN Switch, Panmai, and Zhenyue chips will launch in Q1 2027.
Meanwhile, Alibaba Cloud's Lingjun Zhenwu M890 supernode instance GP9A is now available, becoming China's first supernode computing form to successfully run a large model with over 2 trillion parameters.
T-Head also teased its next-generation AI chip, the Zhenwu J900, featuring a self-developed parallel computing architecture, planned for launch in March 2028.
