Anthropic Launches Claude Frontier Academy with $100M to Train 10,000 AI Deployment Engineers
Anthropic has announced the Claude Frontier Academy training program, planning to invest $100 million to train 10,000 forward-deployed engineers by the end of 2027, helping companies move AI projects from ideas to real business use.
The first group of trainees comes from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, Novo Nordisk, and Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Engineers first attend several days of in-person training, then enter a 12-week residency where they lead a real Claude project. The first trainees are expected to be certified in early 2027.
The program targets a key talent bottleneck in enterprise AI adoption. Forward-deployed engineers adjust technical solutions based on a client's existing systems and workflows, helping decide what to build and integrating new technology so employees actually use it. This role is becoming increasingly sought after in the AI industry.
