Anthropic renames Claude plans: Ultra at $200 a month, Max at $100

Anthropic has renamed its Claude paid plans for individual users. The old Max 20x plan is now the Ultra plan, still priced at $200 a month. The old Max 5x plan is simply called Claude Max, at $100 a month.

The Ultra plan gives 10 times the weekly usage of the Pro plan, plus early access to new models, features and products. It is only offered as a monthly subscription. Verified accounts no longer face the 5-hour session limit, though weekly limits still apply.

To prevent fraud and abuse, Anthropic verifies Ultra accounts automatically using account and payment history, so users don't need to do anything. If there is no Current session bar under Settings > Usage, the account is already verified.
