Hong Kong's HKChat now turns humming into AI-generated songs

AI music generation is becoming part of everyday life. HKChat, a local AI assistant built by the Hong Kong Generative AI Research and Development Center (HKGAI), just got an update with a new AI music feature.

The feature runs on YuE2, a music model made by HKGAI. Users can hum a tune, upload a picture, and describe their song idea. The AI then quickly creates an original song with professional music and singing. Just tap the "Music" button on the app's home page to start.

The feature focuses on Cantonese pop, blending AI with Hong Kong's pop culture. The songs keep the special feel of classic Cantonese music. For now, it is free for all users.
