Apple Intelligence Launches in China with Alibaba's Qwen

Apple has pushed the first developer preview of iOS 27.3 to iPhones, bringing Apple Intelligence and Siri to users in China.

To fit the Chinese market, Apple teamed up with Alibaba and built its Qwen model into some features. Users can use Qwen directly in Siri, Writing Tools, and Visual Intelligence for text and image understanding.

Tests show that answers from Apple Intelligence sync to the Qwen app, which supports voice reading, sharing, copying, saving, and regenerating. Written content made with Qwen also syncs to the app.

This marks the local launch of Apple Intelligence in China, giving users an AI experience that better fits the local ecosystem.
