Baidu Merges Office AI Tools, dodo Joins Baidu Dazi
Baidu has recently started merging its internal office AI tool dodo with the Baidu Dazi team, moving dodo's staff and resources into Baidu Dazi to unify its internal and external office AI products. This move shows Baidu's shift from multiple approaches to a focused strategy, putting more resources into the AI office market.
dodo is an AI assistant used inside Baidu, helping employees with tasks like organizing meetings, handling documents, checking emails, and accessing knowledge bases and development platforms for code commits and requirements management. Baidu Dazi, launched in March, is a professional platform for individuals and businesses. Users just state their goals, and it handles task breakdown, information search, document processing, and more, with integrations like Baidu Search and Cloud Drive.
In July, Baidu Dazi Enterprise was released, supporting shared Skills, project context, and work results, with unified management of knowledge assets and processes. Since launch, daily questions on Baidu Dazi have grown 20 times, and it topped two AI benchmarks. After the merge, Baidu Dazi will be the single office AI product, with dodo's practices going into the enterprise version to boost knowledge sharing and teamwork.
