China Mobile to Spend Over 500 Billion Yuan on Procurement in 2027

At the 2026 Mobile Network Conference, China Mobile announced plans to raise its total procurement in 2027. The total amount is expected to top 500 billion yuan, with more than 100 billion yuan going to computing power and another 100 billion yuan for terminal devices.

Chairman Chen Zhongyue said computing power is the biggest growth area for the company's investment. After building several computing clusters with tens of thousands of AI chips, China Mobile is now working on even larger clusters. Its AI computing capacity will double year after year over the next two years.

The company started building 3 gigawatt-level computing parks this year, and 2 more will follow next year, bringing the total to 7. China Mobile also plans to expand terminal sales, aiming to sell more than 100 million devices.
