China Releases AI Safety Governance Framework 3.0

At the opening ceremony of China's National Cybersecurity Week, the National Technical Committee for Cybersecurity Standardization officially released the AI Safety Governance Framework 3.0. The committee had previously released versions 1.0 and 2.0 in 2024 and 2025, drawing wide attention.

The new framework was developed under the guidance of the Cyberspace Administration of China, with input from the China Academy of Cyberspace Studies and other research institutions and companies.

Framework 3.0 keeps the core approach of risk classification, technical response, and comprehensive governance, while updating risk categories and adjusting measures.

It aims to promote safe and responsible AI development and ensure the technology benefits humanity.
