China Unicom's AI computing power hits 45 EFLOPS, plans over 17.5B yuan investment
China Unicom announced that its standard server racks now exceed 1.1 million, with 7 AIDC parks built at 100-megawatt level. Its AI computing power has reached 45 EFLOPS (100 quintillion floating-point operations per second). The company plans capital expenditure of 50 billion yuan for 2026, with over 17.5 billion yuan (35%) going to computing power. Following the 'East Data, West Computing' strategy, China Unicom has completed resource layout across eight national computing hub nodes, including Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, and others, participating in 10 data center clusters. At the platform level, it built a full-stack computing system centered on 'Unicom Cloud AI + Unicom Yuanjing', enabling cross-region mixed training of heterogeneous AI cards over thousands of kilometers, with training efficiency reaching 90% for 10-billion-parameter models and 85% for 100-billion-parameter models.
