Chinese Finance Universities Are Using AI to Reshape Business Education
Finance universities across China are speeding up the use of AI in economics teaching, exploring how AI can upgrade business education and research.
At Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing, a newly set up Smart Economy Research Institute is upgrading a platform that brings together computing power, algorithms, and shared data. It supports teaching, research, and think tank work. Each school can build its own AI models and agents, and a "token economy" class now uses real-time data and smart interaction instead of textbook examples.
The university's vice president Yin Zhichao said the national plan calls for six future industries, such as quantum tech and brain-computer interfaces, so business education must change how it trains talent. Schools like Central University of Finance and Economics and Shanghai University of Finance and Economics are making similar moves.
