Databricks Launches AI-Powered Security Product Lakewatch and Acquires Two Startups

Databricks is accelerating its security layout recently, announcing the launch of a new security product Lakewatch and the simultaneous acquisition of two startups, Antimatter and SiftD.ai, to provide technical support. Lakewatch is based on its data lake platform, focusing on threat detection and incident investigation and other security functions.

The core advantage of the product lies in the introduction of AI agents driven by Anthropic's Claude model, enabling automated security analysis and response. Antimatter provides AI agent deployment technology under sensitive data protection, while SiftD.ai brings a human-AI collaborative interactive development environment. Team members from both companies have joined Databricks.
