Several companies are ramping up their efforts in the in-car AI assistant space. ByteDance's Volcano Engine launched the 'Doubao Cockpit Assistant,' allowing car owners to remotely control their vehicles, check status, and send trip plans from conversations to the car system via the Doubao app. Zeekr's Eva robot is now available on JD.com for 799 yuan, compatible with Zeekr 001, 8X, 9X, 7X and other models, featuring active tracking, smart steering, and an AMOLED display.
NIO introduced NOMI in 2017, the world's first mass-produced in-car AI interaction system. It uses a rotatable circular screen on the center console and offers voice control, emotional expression feedback, and multimodal interaction, serving as a core part of NIO's smart cockpit.
