DeepSeek's online search is temporarily down

DeepSeek's online search feature is having issues today. Users report seeing a message saying it's unavailable due to technical reasons. Tests show the model can't fetch live info, with knowledge cutoff in May 2025.

The team had planned to launch the V4 official version in mid-July, promising improvements. After the release, API pricing will shift to a peak-valley model for better resource management.

Developed by DeepSeek company, the search feature lets the model get real-time data. Earlier in 2025, Tencent Cloud and Baidu Search both integrated DeepSeek with online search support.
