DeepSeek V4 Flash Tops Global AI Rankings for a Week, Chinese AI Dominates for 14 Weeks

According to the latest weekly report from OpenRouter, the world's largest AI aggregation platform, DeepSeek V4 Flash topped the global rankings with 7.22 trillion tokens processed between July 27 and August 2. The platform hosts over 400 top and open-source models and has about 8 million registered users.

The open-source project team OpenCode noted that DeepSeek V4 Flash processed up to 8 trillion tokens in a single day, with 5 trillion from free trials and 3 trillion from paid developer usage. This highlights the model's strong demand among developers.

All top five models on OpenRouter's list are from Chinese companies, marking the 14th consecutive week that Chinese AI has led in usage. Analysts say Chinese models are attracting global developers with their performance and cost advantages, boosting the growth of AI applications.
