Doubao says AI mushroom ID was just a reference after user scare

Douyin VP Li Liang addressed the 'Doubao mushroom misidentification' incident today. Doubao contacted the user who used the app to ID a mushroom picked in their neighborhood. The app called it 'chicken leg mushroom' but clearly warned it could be confused with the deadly green-spored parasol and strongly advised against eating it. Li stressed AI is still evolving and its answers should only be a reference for safety matters, also noting that mushrooms from residential areas may contain pesticides.
