FLUX 3 Image Klein Can Now Run on an 8GB GPU
Black Forest Labs, an AI vision lab based in Germany, has released its FLUX 3 Image Klein image generation model with open weights. The model has 5.6 billion parameters and is built to run on everyday consumer graphics cards.
The INT8 version can run on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU with just 8GB of VRAM through ComfyUI or Diffusers. Tests show it takes about 4 seconds to create a 1MP image on an RTX 5090, and under 9 seconds on an RTX 4070, making it easy for regular users to run locally.
The model supports text-to-image, image editing, and multi-reference generation, with native 4K resolution and pixel-level precise editing. Black Forest Labs says it beats larger open-source models in many cases and offers a better balance of speed and quality.
