Google DeepMind Launches Veo3.1 Lite Video Model, Cost Less Than Half of Fast Version

Google DeepMind has launched the Veo3.1 Lite video model, its most affordable video generation tool to date. It matches the generation speed of the Fast version but costs less than half. It supports text-to-video and image-to-video functions, with 720p or 1080p resolution options and 4s,6s,8s duration choices. The starting price for 720p is $0.05 per second.

Currently, the model is only available to paid developer users of Google AI Studio; ordinary users cannot experience it in the Gemini app yet. Meanwhile, Google announced that from April 7, it will reduce the price of Veo3.1 Fast: 720p and 1080p video prices drop to $0.10 and $0.12 per second respectively, and 4K video to $0.30 per second.
