Google Launches Gemini Enterprise for Legal to Help Law Firms Go Smart
Google has expanded its Gemini Enterprise AI platform with new tools for lawyers and law firms, called Gemini Enterprise for Legal. This helps law firms use AI for daily tasks and complex work, so lawyers can focus on higher-value services while keeping data safe. The new platform works with legal software and data systems, and includes AI agents that handle legal and admin tasks with less human oversight.
Alphabet launched Gemini Enterprise last October, and this expansion is part of its plan to attract more business clients. Besides legal, Google also introduced tools for finance and plans more industry products. Competitors like Anthropic are also expanding enterprise AI. Thomson Reuters launched its own AI model, Thomson 1.0, trained on legal content.
Google says its platform will connect safely with Thomson Reuters, Harvey, and Legora. Firms like Weil Gotshal and Cleary Gottlieb helped develop it. Law firms are quickly adopting generative AI for research, drafting, and client and case management, to cut costs and boost efficiency. Google Cloud product leader Amrita Mehrok said the new product is flexible, letting firms choose from multiple AI models.
