Google launches Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash video model with 15-second clips and 30% price cut
Google has officially launched its Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash video model. It is now fully open on the Gemini API and Gemini for business platforms. The new model can create videos up to 15 seconds long. It costs 30% less than the old version, at $0.07 per second for 720p video.
Users can set any length from 3 to 15 seconds, in 1-second steps. The model follows character photos, product images, and audio cues, and keeps faces, outfits, and brand colors consistent across shots. Chat-style editing allows step-by-step changes to products, lighting, or framing without starting over.
A new workflow lets users draft in 360p or 720p first, fix details, then upgrade to 1080p or 4K to cut costs. The model also brings better lip sync, multi-speaker control, and smooth cinematic camera moves. Users can create free 15-second clips in Google Vids, and all outputs carry a SynthID watermark.
