Jensen Huang says China talks about AI more practically, calls doomsday talk meaningless
According to Business Insider, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said at the All-In Summit on Monday that no one in China talks about "AI doomsday." He said China's narrative is much more practical, with no one saying "it's all going to end" or talking about disaster or the end of the world.
A host nearby added that Chinese people take a pragmatic view of AI, seeing it as something that can drive the economy and promote social development, and there is no group constantly claiming "AI will destroy human civilization."
Huang said discussing a so-called "AI doomsday" is meaningless and that people are scaring themselves. If the AI doomsday theory were true, action should be taken immediately to solve it, rather than making people who can do nothing about it feel worried. He called for spending more time on solving real problems.
