Joey Wong licenses AI image for NetEase's classic game short film

NetEase's game 'Tianxia' recently released an AI short film 'Qian Ying,' featuring a young Joey Wong's classic screen image. The film was powered by NetEase's DM Monet canvas and Volcano Engine, with Wong licensing her AI likeness after 22 years away from the spotlight.

In June, Wong was named the brand ambassador for 'Tianxia's 18th anniversary. Earlier, 62-year-old Hong Kong actor Lawrence Ng shared he sold his image rights for an AI movie, saying AI creates new opportunities for actors rather than replacing traditional roles.
