Marathon Record Holder Sawe Challenges Honor's Robot 'Lightning' to Race; Two Robots Appear at Nanjing University Graduation Season
Honor's self-developed robots 'Lightning' and 'Yuanqizai' recently appeared at Nanjing University's graduation season activities. Marathon world record holder Sebastian Sawe sent a video message to greet graduates, paid tribute to 'Lightning' (which broke the human half-marathon record), and formally invited it to compete together, looking forward to running side by side in the future.
Sawe was amazed that 'Lightning' broke the half-marathon record in just 7 months, while it took humans 118 years to run a full marathon under 2 hours. He said humans and technology are not replacing each other but pushing limits together. 'Lightning' previously won the Beijing Yizhuang humanoid robot half-marathon with 50 minutes and 26 seconds, equipped with Honor's self-developed high-dynamic motion system and liquid cooling technology. It also competed in 100-meter sprints with students on site; 'Yuanqizai' participated in campus check-ins and dance interactions.
