MediaTek's Genio Pro 5100 Chip Launches to Power On-Device AI for Embodied Intelligence
At the 9th China Robot Summit, Huarui Zhipu held an industry ecosystem conference and launched the Praxis One embodied intelligence super-brain computing platform, built on MediaTek's flagship Genio Pro 5100 SoC. The platform targets physical AI and embodied intelligence deployment.
Industry experts say real robots need local closed-loop processing, requiring ultra-low latency, privacy protection, and multimodal sensing on end-side chips. Traditional industrial chips with multi-chip stacking struggle to balance efficiency, sensing, real-time control, and reliability.
The Genio Pro 5100 uses TSMC's 3nm process and an Arm v9.2 8-core CPU, with a built-in NPU 890 delivering 106 TOPS. It can run Qwen3 7B locally at 23 tokens/s. The chip supports 16 camera inputs, 8K video, Wi-Fi 7, 5G, and Bluetooth 6.0, with -40°C to 105°C operation and 10-year supply.
The platform supports ROS2 and Linux, helping robot makers cut development costs and speed up large-scale deployment of embodied robots.
