Meta launches enterprise AI platform, taps former MongoDB CEO to lead

Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of Meta Enterprise Platform, aimed at helping businesses use AI to grow and transform in new ways. Zuckerberg sees the platform as the next major pillar of Meta's overall business, combining Meta's strengths in models, agents, infrastructure and partnerships to offer enterprises and developers a full Meta AI stack.

Former MongoDB CEO and President Chirantan "CJ" Desai will serve as Meta's Chief Enterprise Platform Officer, leading the platform and reporting directly to Zuckerberg.

Meanwhile, MongoDB announced that former President and CEO Dev Ittycheria will return to the company to temporarily fill both roles, and a search for a permanent CEO has begun.
