Meta launches Muse Charm handheld AI device, coming before December holidays
At the Meta Connect event, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled a handheld AI device called Muse Charm. Built on Meta's AI assistant Muse, it is designed for people who don't wear Meta smart glasses, offering a quick way to communicate with Muse. Muse Charm will go on sale before the December holidays, with pricing yet to be announced.
According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, the device features an approximately 2-inch OLED display, runs a new operating system, and has a built-in 5G modem so it can access Muse even without Wi-Fi. It has cameras on both front and back, mainly to provide visual information for Muse.
Muse Charm looks like a 90s virtual pet and can be worn on a wristband, carried in a pocket, or hung on a bag or keychain. Two users can let their devices recognize and interact with each other when close. Sources say the price will be close to that of a smartwatch.
