Microsoft CEO Warns: Relying on a Single AI Model Could Cost Companies Their Independence
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella warned in a recent CNN interview that companies relying too heavily on a single AI model could outsource their knowledge and thinking power to the model provider, threatening their survival. He believes any model could stop working, so companies must stay in control of their own knowledge and direction.
Nadella introduced the concept of "token capital," which includes prompt context and employee interaction records with models—valuable knowledge companies gain from using AI. He stressed that unlike the consumer market, the enterprise market cannot operate on a "free service for data" model, or companies will lose their ability to survive independently.
