Mixfont launches Decoy Font to trick AI text readers
Mixfont launched a new font called Decoy Font on July 15, designed to stop AI from reading text. It uses a trick called hybrid images, mixing two layers of visual info to confuse AI systems.
Think of the classic optical illusion where Einstein and Marilyn Monroe are blended into one picture. That's the idea here. When you install this font, it works like any normal font for typing. But AI sees the fake front letters first, while humans can read the real message from a distance.
Engineer Eric Lu says each real letter hides behind a decoy one. As AI tools get smarter, this kind of anti-scraping tech could help protect personal data and secrets online.
