Moonshot AI in talks with Microsoft, Amazon, Google on Kimi K3 revenue-sharing deal
According to Reuters, Chinese AI startup Moonshot AI is in talks with Microsoft, Amazon, and Google about a revenue-sharing deal to host its flagship model Kimi K3 on their cloud platforms. If successful, it would be the first major revenue-sharing partnership between a Chinese AI company and major US cloud providers.
Sources say Moonshot AI is seeking a 30% revenue share from K3-related services, matching terms offered to major customers of its open-weight models. Talks are still early, with key disagreements over revenue-sharing mechanics, data access, and token usage audits.
Earlier, Chinasoft International announced a similar deal with Moonshot AI without disclosing specific terms. Moonshot AI, Microsoft, Google, and AWS have declined to comment on the potential deal.
