Musk Moves Into Airstream Trailer in Memphis to Oversee xAI Data Center

According to Fortune, the world's richest person Elon Musk has moved into an Airstream trailer parked in Memphis to personally oversee the construction of xAI's Memphis data center. SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell said this is typical Musk, willing to do what many dare not.

Once completed, the xAI Memphis data center will provide massive computing power. The company has already reached deals with Google and Anthropic to supply surplus computing power worth billions of dollars.

Musk's habit of sleeping near worksites goes back decades. In the 1990s, he slept in a tiny office for six months while founding Zip2. During Tesla's 'production hell,' he slept on the factory floor daily. After buying Twitter, he slept in the company library.
