Musk Reveals SpaceXAI Computing Power, Plans 1.1 Million GB300 Chips by Year-End
American entrepreneur Elon Musk revealed SpaceXAI's computing power setup on X. SpaceXAI runs two main clusters: Colossus 1 and Colossus 2. Colossus 1 has 150,000 Nvidia H100s, 50,000 H200s, and 30,000 GB200s. Colossus 2 has 110,000 GB200s and 440,000 GB300s.
Musk said 220,000 more GB300s will go live next week, with another 220,000 planned for November 2026 and December 2026. If all goes well, Colossus 2 will have 1.1 million GB300 chips by year-end. GB200 and GB300 are Nvidia's new GPUs built for AI training and inference, offering better efficiency and computing density than H100/H200.
Musk noted SpaceXAI has only 3 years of AI research, while rivals like Anthropic and OpenAI have 6 to 10 years. He said if momentum holds, SpaceXAI could reach a leading position in about 6 months.
