Musk Says SpaceX AI Is Speeding Up, Aims to Lead in About 6 Months

Musk said on X that he is cautiously optimistic SpaceX will have a Fable or GPT-6 level model within two to three months. A user replied that Anthropic and OpenAI will soon have better products.

Musk responded that SpaceX's AI work will keep speeding up. He said SpaceX has only worked on AI for 3 years, while Anthropic and OpenAI have worked on it for 6 and 10 years. If the second derivative stays strong, SpaceX will take the lead in about 6 months.

Musk also said that once intelligence goes far beyond what a task needs, the extra intelligence becomes meaningless. He added that hardware is hard, and quickly deploying massive compute is even harder, but SpaceX has shown strong engineering delivery.
