Nvidia and SoftBank Complete $30 Billion Investment Each in OpenAI

According to tech media The Information, Nvidia and SoftBank have each made their final $10 billion payment to OpenAI, completing their respective $30 billion investment commitments. The total pledged amount for this funding round is about $122 billion, valuing OpenAI at approximately $852 billion.

Besides Nvidia and SoftBank, Amazon previously completed a $50 billion investment. The three major investors have collectively put in about $110 billion, roughly 90% of the total pledged amount for this round.

This massive funding will further strengthen OpenAI's financial capacity for AI model research, computing infrastructure, and data center expansion. SoftBank said that with this additional investment, its cumulative investment in OpenAI has reached about $64.6 billion, with a stake of roughly 13%.
