NVIDIA in Talks with Korean AI Chip Firm Rebellions
According to Bloomberg, NVIDIA has started early talks with Korean AI chip company Rebellions about a possible partnership. Leaders from both sides met at NVIDIA's headquarters in Santa Clara, California, to discuss potential collaboration. People familiar with the matter say the talks are still at an early stage and could lead to a tech partnership, investment, or even an acquisition, though the deal might also fall through.
Rebellions focuses on AI inference accelerators with NPU architecture. Its latest product, Rebel100, offers 2 PFLOPS FP8 computing power, 523MB SRAM cache, and 144GB HBM3E memory. If this collaboration happens, it could help NVIDIA expand in the AI chip market and give Rebellions more resources to grow.
