NVIDIA Plans to Invest in AI Chip Startup d-Matrix

NVIDIA is planning to invest in d-Matrix, a startup that makes AI inference chips. This move comes after NVIDIA's recent deal with Groq, showing the chip giant keeps expanding in this space.

The two companies already work together. d-Matrix's next-generation inference XPU will support NVIDIA's NVLink Fusion ecosystem and use the MGX standard rack design.

This shows NVIDIA is using both money and tech partnerships to bring in new ideas in AI chips. Competition and teamwork now exist side by side in the AI chip market.
